The Sports Committee at IIM Trichy plays a central role in building and sustaining a vibrant sporting culture on campus. Through structured engagement across 16 sports, the committee ensures students can stay active and pursue their sporting interests alongside the rigour of an MBA program.

The institute actively competes in Sangram, a premier inter-IIM sporting event featuring IIM Trichy, IIM Bangalore, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Visakhapatnam, IIM Shillong, IIM Nagpur, and IIM Indore—providing students with a platform to perform at a highly competitive level.

On campus, the committee curates a dynamic calendar of events throughout the year. Flagship tournaments such as Udayam (PGP1 vs PGP2), Kurukshetra (inter-section competition), ITCL, ITVL, ITFL, Rannbhoomi, and Asthamanam ensure consistent participation and engagement, averaging nearly one major event every month.

Through these initiatives, the Sports Committee fosters teamwork, resilience, and a strong sense of community—making sports an integral part of life at IIM Trichy, not just an extracurricular.
