International Relations Committee

Secretary of International Relations Students' Committee together with the members of the committee plays a key role in building partnerships for IIM Trichy with the foreign universities.

As International Relations Students’ Committee represents IIM Trichy on the global platform, we aspire to make IIM-Trichy the first-choice for students across the globe who wishes to add international and cross-cultural aspects to their management education.
The major focus of the committee would be to forge new associations with foreign institutes and strengthen the relationship with the existing ones by increasing the number of outbound students going for the student exchange program and having more partner institutes from across all continents.
International Relations Office would also work towards enriching the holistic experience of the inbound exchange students.

Roles & Responsibilities

Building partnerships with foreign universities.
Facilitating the end-to-end operational aspects of Student Exchange Programmes (Inbound & Outbound).
Inviting & hosting Professors from foreign universities on IIM Trichy campus for International Week.
Organizing and facilitating the smooth conduction of International Week.
Facilitating the selection process of students for Student Exchange Programmes, Management Development Programmes & Youth Delegation Programmes.

Student Exchange Programme

Globalization has intensified the scope of learning and the pressure of performing. Graduates in business administration are required to develop technical expertise in the field of management and learn about the regional and global ecosystem in which they will perform.

At IIM Tiruchirappalli, we want students to gather holistic and global approach and to facilitate this, we have designed the Inbound and Outbound Exchange Programmes. These programmes widen the student's perspective and help them understand the dynamics of management in various foreign countries.

Youth Delegation Programme

Every year, Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli facilitates the International Exchange of Youth Delegations conducted by Department of Youth Affairs – Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (Government of India), which is aimed at creating an international perspective in the youth and to involve them in promoting peace and understanding. The programme is aimed at encouraging exchange of values, ideas and culture amongst the youth of different countries.

International Week

Popularly known as the I-Week, the initiative was started in IIM Trichy in the year 2017 in which noted faculties from various B-Schools across the globe gather to impart their knowledge about different management arenas through various courses. International Week is held every December at the IIM Trichy campus. Faculties from various foreign business institutions provide courses of one credit each which can be opted by the students based on certain pre-requisites.

Inbound Student Exchange Programme

IIM Tiruchirappalli welcomes students from partner institutions to participate in the Inbound Student Exchange Programme and embrace the chance to explore the incredible sights, people and rich culture of India. Centered in the ancient city of Tiruchirappalli and an important seat of learning, we at IIM Tiruchirappalli, offer them the incredible experience of the best of both dichotomies - ancient city and the modern State of the Art Campus of IIM Tiruchirappalli with a host of fun and frolic activities.

Outbound Student Exchange Programme

IIM Tiruchirappalli believes that it is important for aspiring managers to gain international perspective and exposure. Our Outbound Exchange Programme allows students to spend a term at our partner institutions and get exposure of the global business scenario. A plethora of opportunities are provided to expand and enrich knowledge through different academic and cultural exchanges by means of various programs and activities.
